The population was 1,175 at the 2000 census. == Geography == Crystal Springs is located at 28°10′51″N 82°10′7″W (28.180879, -82.168690).According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.6 square miles (15 km2), all land. == Demographics == As of the census of 2000, there were 1,175 people, 427 households, and 312 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 211.6 inhabitants per square mile (81.7/km2). There were 474 housing units at an average density of 85.4 per square mile (33.0/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.62% White, 0.60% African American, 0.68% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 3.06% from other races, and 1.96% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.36% of the population. There were 427 households, out of which 34.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.2% were married couples living together, 10.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.7% were non-families. 19.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
